The historic venues
Barcelona's mid-size rooms are the backbone of its live scene, and three of them have been programming continuously long enough to count as institutions.
Apolo
A 1940s ballroom on the Paral·lel that now splits its week between touring bands and club nights, including the long-running electronic sessions in the main room.
Razzmatazz
Five rooms in a Poblenou warehouse hosting everything from international guitar bands to techno until sunrise. It is the default answer to where a touring act is playing.
The smaller rooms
A network of sub-500-capacity venues across Sant Antoni, the Raval and Gràcia, where the local scene actually develops. Tickets on the door, most nights of the week.
