The Grec Festival
From late June through July, the Grec fills the city's stages with an international programme of theatre, dance and music, anchored by the stone amphitheatre that gives the festival its name.
The Teatre Grec
An open-air amphitheatre cut into the hillside, with stone tiers under pine trees and the city lights below. Arrive early enough to find your seat while it is still daylight.
Beyond the amphitheatre
The programme spreads across the Lliure, the Mercat de les Flors and venues in the outer districts, at ticket prices well below the summer festivals.
Booking
The full programme is announced in spring and the amphitheatre performances sell first. Whatever is on, the venue alone justifies the ticket price.
